The tan boot saga continues... on to cowboy boots.

I just can't find a tan ankle boot I like enough to buy. Some kind people helped on my last thread, and I thought the problem was solved, but now I think I should get cowboy boots. Short ones. I have always had cowboy boots, but never Frye ones- I have my eye on these, but are they worth the money?

Anyone seen any others? I want that heel height, and tan. In a size 8.

Cheers.

Ooh I tried on some lovely ones today but dp pulled faces at them. I think they were in Dune. Hang on - will look.

noddyholder · 28/10/2011 20:13

I have similar but they are ash ones and studded I wear them a lot They were also £££££ but I can really feel the quality [deluded i saw you coming]

noddyholder · 28/10/2011 20:14

these Not worn like that though which is a bit max wall Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/10/2011 20:18

Gah - can't find them. Maybe they were somewhere else? I went into every flipping shoe shop in Birmingham and couldn't find what I wanted anywhere.

They were a bit like this but shorter.

TethHearseEnd · 28/10/2011 20:18

PMSL at Max Wall Grin

I like those, but they have to be tan- and not keen on studs if I'm honest. Will have a look at Ash.

I've got these which I love love love (they look much nicer in RL than in those pics).
But they also do these which are more ankular.

MissBeehiving · 28/10/2011 20:24

What is it with you and your impossible tan footwear quest Tethers?

I saw woman at Legoland yesterday who was wearing some tan boots which I thought might be suitable for you so I asked her where she got them from, but unfortunately they were 2 years old Sad. I think she thought I was a right nutter Grin

HotBurrito1 · 28/10/2011 20:26

I have some Frye boots, completely different shape though. Had kittens worried a bit over the price but they are lovely quality. Even my husband had to admit how beautifully made they are.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/10/2011 21:06

Nice but suede

Can't find the ones I tried on anywhere - damn.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/10/2011 21:08

ouch at the price though

TethHearseEnd · 28/10/2011 21:16

Remus, you know me SO well Grin

I almost bought those KG Spence ones (they are reduced in asos) as I love the shape of them so much- but suede will be useless. I need them to tramp around visiting schools for work and parks for DD. They may as well be made of felt. Or fried eggs. They look beautiful though.

Miss B, that is hilarious, and so kind of you! I don't know what's with me either. I think it's because I actually want heels but can't because my back hurts.

HotBurrito, good to know they are well made. Am sick of paying money for boots which fall apart. Do you know where I could try them on?

HotBurrito1 · 28/10/2011 21:46

Don't know of anywhere to try them on soz -don't think many 'real life' shops do them. Got mine from javari as they do free returns.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/10/2011 22:13

I saw those whilst on my never-ending quest for grey ones. Have only found suede grey ones and agree that buying suede is ridiculous.

I wish I could remember where I'd tried those boots on today - they would have been perfect, I'm sure. I could have sworn it was Dune but I can't find them. Grrrr.

Now I am determined to find you some.

TethHearseEnd · 28/10/2011 22:32

Dare I ask about your grey leather jacket quest....?

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/10/2011 22:41

Don't ask! I found a couple but didn't like them. The nicest leather jacket I've found so far is a brown one in Oasis but I didn't 'love' it, so have decided not to bother. The grey ones I've seen all looked a bit plastic-y, even when they were leather.
