Dress for grad ball - help!

Hello - long-time lurker but first-time poster on s&b...

I'm 27 and have my grad ball in a few weeks, never been near a ball before so no idea what to wear. Seems to be a weird, inbetweeny age for dresses. Ideally I'd like something not too fussy, not too formal, not too bright, and will need to have straps/sleeves as my massive boobs don't do strapless bras. I normally dress quite young (work at a uni and often mistaken for a student Hmm). If I could wear it again for xmas parties that would be a bonus!

I'm 5ft 7, size 14, hourglass-y shape.

Budget £150.

If anyone can help me, I know it's you guys...

Does it need to be full length?

if so, how about this or this?

No need for full length - I've never worn a long dress before so might be more comfortable in something shorter. Also have to get the train there! They are both gorgeous though...

Ok, how about fifties style? Over budget but amazing dress

Or would you prefer something a bit more slinky? Like this?

Oooh, or this
