Do I need a faux fur short jacket ?

As usual I have a lot of parties/ nights out coming up in Dec. I have more than enough dresses (thanks EBay/ Damsel sale & the much loved Verity dress) BUT I don't own a single nice jacket to wear.

I don't like wearing my everyday winter coat on these occasions, it's not stylish at all. Just practical.

Having a quick look around Newcastle yesterday there were some lovely faux fur jackets.

But I really can't decide if this is the way to go!

Any advice? High street prices a must.

I think that would go with all my dresses. It's a sign of age that I can't even contemplate going out without a jacket

I love faux fur! Sainsburys have a lovely short fur jacket-on black and beige and it is reduced to £40-I am holding out as I think it will be reduced more!

Vintage/secondhand shops are your friend. I was longing for a short leopard jacket and lo and behold one manifested itself in my local rather overpriced vintage place! You just need to identify good places that you can get to easily and keep going in.

Yes everyone needs one - perfect for keeping you really warm but look fab on a night out. I bought one from BHS a few years ago - only thing I've bought in there for at least 20 years - I was in there with my mum, honest!! Anyway it's great - couldn't live without it.

I popped into H&M in the toon today. There was a jacket, but too hairy (iykwim)

I will definitely get one, just need to find a less hairy version. Being so tall makes me look like a yeti
