What sort of clothes shall I wear? All pictures of pop art girls are just head shots!

And does anybody know where I can get a bright yellow wig online by Sunday?!

Going for this look. Help pretty please! [hsmile]

That's brilliant!

Are you in London? Pak Cosmetics in Finsbury park has a great selection of wigs.

Wear a white pencil skirt with dots painted on and/or something with diagonal stripes. And a blazer. Keep it to the primary colours.

Hassled · 27/10/2011 20:04

It has no connection whatsoever to the spirit of Halloween (whatever that is) but it is quite brilliant. I especially like the ear outline feature. Wish I could help re wigs etc

Bangtastic · 27/10/2011 20:10

I know it has no connection, it's more of a general fancy dress type thing than 'scary' halloween type party :)

I am not in London no [hsad] It's the wig I am really stuck on, the only half decent ones are on eBay and I worry they won't get sent out on time to be here for Saturday!

Fancy dress shops for the wig or (and i hate the term) "alternative " shops

Make one out of papier mache.

Hassled · 27/10/2011 20:51

Yes! Papier Mache would work but start the base tonight.

You need a balloon. Blow it up, as big as possible (as big as your head) and sellotape the bottom into a bowl or mug. Then get going - newspaper, flour and water if you don't have PVA glue. Paintbrush. Good and wet and squishy so you can sort of sculpt the shape you want. Do a good few layers tonight, let it dry, pop the balloon tomorrow so it has time to dry on the inside, then do some more layers so it has time to dry and you can paint it and if possible varnish.

TethHearseEnd · 27/10/2011 20:55

I would follow Hassled's advice, but to bulk it up, scrunch newspaper up and stick it to the balloon to get the overall shape, then papier mache a couple of layers to smooth and the detail on top. Once dry, pop the balloon and do another layer of papier mache on the inside. Will speed up the process and make it a bit lighter to wear.

I read it as pop tart lol
I was working out how to make a massive pop tart frame in my head before I realised what it said Blush Grin

Pop Tart Grin Trinity

You could also make a hat/wig from Canary yellow felt?.. If you have an old beanie hat, you could sew curls etc of bright yellow onto it.. you'd have to completely cover it tho'.
