I have been sent here by "sleb" threaders says you lot will help. I have a weird job which will soon require me to stay over at the London residence of big sleb couple. I have not much cash and 3dc 5,2,14wks. I look a fright and need advice as to what to wear, grooming etc in order to not look a TOTAL scarecrow in front of the beautiful people! I'm there for two nights informal dinners and two breakfasts?

Well, kimonos are the new cardigan, purple and orange are 'in' shades - orange varnish? I would go clasic with a modern piece (and I have, unprompted, received poitive comments at times!) Get a silky kimono to wear as a cardi over a simple strappy top and skinny jeans for pm. Classic t and jeans for am? Swatch watch? Cheap, recognisable, funky.

What about this (I have just bought it so be kind Smile)

Grazia says coloured jean - green, red etc. In fact, buy grazia and just use that...pajamas? Havianas for am, not fluffy animal slippers

grumpypants · 26/10/2011 22:47

Dyed lashes good, but no for length. Clear mascara?

grumpypants · 26/10/2011 22:49

madammecholet · 27/10/2011 17:15

25Kilopumpkin you SO can do coloured jeans, these H&M stretch jeans tucked into boots are lovely...and cheap. I have 2 pairs and am living in them with riding boots and a blazer combo at the moment. I have Navy and Black, but the cognac and yellow look good too.

madammecholet · 27/10/2011 17:20

Try also Asos Marketplace for quirky stuff which is not too expensive. marketplace.asos.com/listing/dresses/navy-ruffle-pussy-bow-dress/181699 pussy bow dress]] or this from not on the high street, with a cardi over the top

Megatron · 27/10/2011 17:24

madammecholet are those jeans true to size of due they come up big/small? I'm a big nervous about bright colours so thought maybe grey or dark blue? (size 12 age 44 so worried I'm a bit past it!)

madammecholet · 27/10/2011 17:34

megatron do it, they're great, and imo true to size, plus they're stretchy so the size 12 will be fine. I have the Navy and they're great, and the black are really slimming.

Btw, if you're only a size 12 cowbagwhy not go bright, age is immaterial imo. :)

Megatron · 27/10/2011 17:36

Grin I'm worried I can't pull it off. But I like the look of the dark blue ones and black definitely if they're slimming!

madammecholet · 27/10/2011 17:39

No you don't pull them off megatron you PUT THEM ON! Wink

Order them, then come back and shoot me if you hate them.....!

Megatron · 27/10/2011 17:42

Right I'm, convinced, will report back!

noddyholder · 27/10/2011 17:43

madame do you know what the noths sizing is like? (sorry for hijack)

madammecholet · 27/10/2011 17:46

No, but it looks like such a lovely dress for the price. Email the seller and ask, they're always really helpful whenever i've had a query on that site..

madammecholet · 27/10/2011 17:46

Well done megatron!
