Just happened to see this when browsing tunics on M and S site and thought I should share its unique design. A snip at £69. Anyone any idea of what it represents (feathers I suppose ......)?

Woah. That is the most hideous AND odd creation yet. Holy crap!

polyhymnia · 26/10/2011 14:57

yes, seems something sinister/almost kinky (in a bad way) about it to me ...

I agree. Kill it with fire!

RefereezaWanka · 26/10/2011 16:16

Dead fox tails?

Other bits of that fox were used for this

Good God, it's bad.

keepingupwiththejoneses · 26/10/2011 16:20

here is it's mate

keepingupwiththejoneses · 26/10/2011 16:22

You would feel like you where on drugs looking at this

madammecholet · 26/10/2011 16:30

I JUST DON'T GET IT... polyhmnia that is a truly hideous example of a buying team losing the plot. I get fashion forward, but this is fashion car crash.

Again hear me cry....SHOOT the buyers at M&S!

WitchOfWoo · 26/10/2011 16:38

designed for Nancy dell'Olio.

101handbags · 26/10/2011 16:45

Thanks all for giving me a good laugh, I needed it today. Truly hideous.

PrimaBallerina · 26/10/2011 17:25

I never tire of these Grin

pocketandsweet · 26/10/2011 17:47

I am comforted by these comments. When I see things like these at M and S I think WHAT THE HELL! Everyone seems to cherish M and S as an institution and I figure I don't GET IT because I wasn't born here.

going · 26/10/2011 18:24

They are not nice but I still can not get this monstasity from last year out of my head!

going · 26/10/2011 18:24

monstrosity!

polyhymnia · 26/10/2011 18:32

Oh yes, that is unforgettable indeed. Yet I recall there were loads of reviews on the website at the time raving about the garment.

Poor old Twiggy now seems to be on in-store posters (looking a touch haggard) for the 'mainline' M and S Woman range, so perhaps has escaped from Per Una. The question remains 'who exactly is Per Una aimed at???'

As far as I'm concerned Autograph Weekend is about the only M and S 'brand' worth checking out regularly for wearable stuff.

Per Una seemed to be aimed quite young when it first came out, but now the only women who look there are more the Classic collection demographic.

I have two beautiful raincoats from Per Una, both several years old now and so unfussy compared to their current range!

Hideousness!

polyhymnia · 26/10/2011 18:49

You're right, they did used to have a few plain and perfectly OK jackets, etc in the mix but I think they have become a taste-free zone now. No idea of the 'less is more' style maxim.
