What kind of necklace with a square neckline?

I have a frock for a do, but I need some bling.

Should I go for a necklace with a square neck-lined black dress, or some bad-ass earrings?

I have big hair usually and big earrings are usually my thing, but should I go for a necklace and let my hair be the mane event. (geddit?)

I reckon earrings. Some necklaces would look totally fab but I always have a fear of necklaces with a formal / smart dress - sometimes they can look a bit "royal family". And I mean the actual royal family, not Caroline Aherne

Yes Yummy - I agree - the neckline probably needs nothing else

Thank you.

I had forgotten about this threadBlush.

I agree re royal family. I'd never wear both, especially at a black tie do.

They actually go with everything!

A choker style necklace looks good with a square neckline. Think black velvet with a diamond drop.

I can't do chokers, BRRB. Short, fat neck.
I love the gothic look of them though, especialy the one you linked to.

Quite like those, Mags.
