going to reception this week with lots of my younger glamorous friends who i haven't seen in a while.

Is this dress a no-no?
(Muttony on me, been in too many magazines, too trendy, etc?)

Impossible to say without knowing what you look like... I'm not keen on the dress, but it could work...

Just wanted a view on the dress really... But agree it's a bit marmite! I'm size 14-16 5ft 9; I've lost a stone recently and the dress (going by the reviews) isn't too clingy. Is the neck a bit high? I need to try it on really...

Try it on. It will either look awful or amazing- nothing in between!

I can see it working in a 60s way- big hair and low heels.

Better mutton than mumsy.

Oo yes, am starting to visualise now. Big hair, adele eyes and big dangly earrings...

yy, exactly

ha ha. well have swung by M&S and tried on dress. was wrong size but wanted to just see what front looked like....

was dire. Neckline ultra-unflattering and made my boobs look at waist level.

Have decided on purple sleeveless dress from last year with a beaded shrug I bought at the weekend.

But am still going to go for big hair/eyelashes/earrings Grin

I knew it would be one or the other Grin
