I can't afford GHD straighteners, so what is nearly as good but a lot cheaper?

I don't straighten my hair often so can't justify such an expensive set. But there are many more affordable ones out there but not sure which to get?

Any tips or advice??

Have a good hunt online or buy with your boots points

I spent years using cheaper but allegedly just as good ones. They were all a waste of money imo.

Buy second hand on eBay.

Only GHD's are anywhere near as good as GHD's.

I had mark hill which were cack.

I just got some free at work (had a few Inc ghd hence my babyliss point)
Cloud 9 and I think these are also pretty good.

Beware of fake ghd on eBay. Made in their zillions in china!

MDC there are Babyliss Pro Elegance £80 straighteners on the debenhams website reduced to £40!! Would you recommend these in particular?

Do you actually need straighteners? I mean, is your hair unruly? Or do you just want to straighten out slight kinks?

If the former you need GHDs, nothing else compares and you will be wasting your money buying anything else. If the latter you could get away with a cheaper set.

Not sure which are which. I picked up and used babyliss pro 230 ceramic the other day, they were quite little and when I googled them they were £25 ish

I have straight hair!! But it's the quality of the ceramic.

Biscuit i just like to use straighteners when i want a sleeker look, so no not for unruly hair.

I have curly, unruly hair and find the babyliss 230 (wide plates) better than ghd.

Tried kodo a few years ago and they were crap.
