Dithering over these boots - opinions welcomed!

So, I have had my eye on these boots for a while and now they are reduced by 30% but for today only!

I can't decide whether to buy them - I like them and I need a pair of smart boots BUT I don't love them - and if so, whether to get the black or mushroom colour. I know black is more practical/versatile but it's a bit boring.

I really really want the Boden Bloomsbury boots but sadly, the pennies won't stretch that far.

Buy them -- Boden returns are pretty easy and fast.

BUT what are you going to wear them with

Black jeans. Sadly not skinnies as my thighs would look like a pair of sausages about to burst.

Get these and change the laces for thick grey ones.

Thanks ladies. I think I'll buy the Boden ones in black and if I don't like them, then those M&S boots could do the trick (excellent suggestion re: laces Teth!).

I'd get the M&S ones and put velvet ribbon through instead of laces. I think the Boden ones look cheap for some reason, maybe the piping?

I dont like those Marks ones- too victorianerish
