Best Jeans - have lost weight and want to get something fab - where to start?

Ok, so I have worked really hard on my diet and have dropped a couple of dress sizes and my treat was to get a new pair of jeans. Dragging in the belt on my old 16's just looks rubbish now so up for a bit of a celebratory shopping trip. Where to start?

I am 5'5'', quite curvy so normally opt for boot cut. Don't mind spending a reasonable amount if they are worth it Smile

Everyone raves about the Levi Curves but I haven't tried them.

I'm just posting to ask you to reconsider the bootcuts Smile.

Thanks PrimaBallerina - I've seen quite a lot of posts about them so will take a look. There is a MiH outlet near me which might be worth a trip. Anyone any experience of them?

I went to Donna Ida in Guildford recently and thought it was great. They have other branches if not close. Jeans were more expensive than I'd normally want to spend, but I have 2 perfect pairs of jeans. The fit is amazing and I feel really good about myself in both! They asked me loads of questions about what I wanted and brought me loads of pairs (all different brands and sizes) to try. Fab fab fab can't recommend more highly.

Someone on here is raving about high-waisted skinny jeans which she bought for next to nothing at New Look and saved a fortune on the Levi Curves she was going to get.

If you really want to splash out, j brand on net-a-porter (lovely in red or blue) or discounted on theoutnet.com are supposed to be amazing. D&G are also really nice shaped jeans. I have 7 for all mankind which are good, sass and bide are lovely, levi's are ok but my absolute favourite are a pair of £10 jeans I bought in the sale from dotty p's. I think what I'm saying is go and try lots on because with jeans expensive isn't always the best, it's the fit.

Always thought nothing beats 7 for all mankind... until I bought Paige that is - much more durable and cut is lovely!

I lost quite a bit of weight and went from a size 16 to size 12.
I bought a pair of 'Not your daughters jeans' from John Lewis which are very comfortable and flattering, but they did cost about £130. Have also got 2 pairs of M&S jeans, but they're not denim, just cotton. I think these ones cost about £22.50 at the moment and they are possibly even more my favourites than the NYDJ ones.

Sorry, realised I didn't thank everyone for the tips. Got some Levi Curves and they are a good fit but I am hoping to lose a bit more weight to drop one more dress size and then I think I can have a final hunt.
