bloody hell, I thought it was torture!! skin looks fab though but, its red. The beautician never explained anything about it probably because it was a groupon special so, I dont know what she did or, if theres any aftercare.

Does anyone else know?

Sounds very unprofessional/unethical to do that to you! I would complain about that (and you'll get it free!)Seriously that's out of order.
Otherwise - sorry I have no idea.

I have had a few treatments of microdermabrasion, and it was definately not tortue and skin was not left red, infact it was relaxing. You have to use a high suncreen factor before you go out to protect your skin, because it's abit sensitive but thats all ( I think ). Also from what I remember you are not allowed to have a hot shower or steamy bath for the first 24 hrs.

Did you go to that place in Mill Hill? I saw the offer and looked up the reviews of the place before deciding whether to buy as I really want microdermabrasion. The reviews were pretty damning so I decided not to book.

I never read any reviews!! It on offer today for another place. I don't like to complain but the girl just talked nonsense. She said I had varicose veins in my face!!! I wouldn't let her lose with that machinery. Where did you see the reviews?

I just did a Google search for reviews on the place. I saw a deal earlier in the year for Microdermabrasion and because the place was not far from where I live I went up to check it out and it looked well dodgy, so I checked the reviews for it and they were equally bad. Now I always make sure I check reviews of salons before buying any Groupon deals. I have had more bad experiences than good with Groupon, I have to say! I may well unsubscribe.

Mind you, they are not bad with refunds if you have a proper cause for complaint. I phoned and complained about an offer only this afternoon! It was £35 for 3 chiropractic sessions, except that when I went for my first one they refused to treat me until I'd had an x-ray, for which they charge £50 each and was totally unnecessary as well as the fact that I am TTC and didn't want an x-ray in case I was pregnant. So, I'm now trying to get a refund as it wasn't stated in the offer that you'd need to spend a load of extra money.

You can't get varicose veins on your face FFS!

If you want some back up to your complaint to Groupon just send them this link!

Please complain to Barnet council environmental health department. The therapist should have explained any risks and aftercare required, made you take a health questionnaire and you should have signed a consent form at the very least.
