I like these boots - but what would i wear with them

I have quite a few pairs of black biker type boots and an old scabby pair of tan cowboy-ey ones.
My wardrobe for the winter is predominantly greys and blacks.
These boots look like they are quite slim fitting - so would prob only be able to get tights or leggings inside.
Would I be wasting my money and never wear them?? I see they have them in black and the reviewer said more like grey (which could turn out ok as would be diff to my black ones).

I think it's a shame they put the straps around them, underneath that they are a nice shape. As they are, the black ones look better and could work with day dresses and skirts, especially as your winter wardrobe would suit the black ones. Just my opinion, like

They're lovely. They would work well with straight skirts, calf-length fuller skirts or dresses like the little flared jewel-coloured ones that DP has at the moment, like this.
