What do you wear on your feet with leggings and ankle boots?

To stop the boots rubbing and hurting bare feet?

Socks can be seen and pop socks (yuk) just ladder.

Am I missing something?

Just saw Amira on Eastenders with a fab dress, leggings, ankle boots combo and though lovely but her feet must hurt traipsing around London!

How can socks be seen if you are wearing leggings? Or are they 3/4 length ? [missing something]?

I mean with shoe boot/ankle boots there is a risk that it might be seen!

I wear black ankle socks, and put my leggings over them, you can't see them as my boots cover them but if you do get an occasional flash they just look like part of my leggings :)

I wear black socks with leggings pulled over.

Black socks under the leggings here too, or just fold my socks down until they're not visible over the top of the boots.

Trainer socks, I have some black pairs.
