Do leather jackets stretch?

Been given a lovely soft leather jacket that is slightly too tight across the back. Is it likely to stretch?

Not as such, but it does soften to your shape over time.

Not sure that helps.

Wear it open with a scarf and Voilá!

A little! Will the lining allow a little give?

Whitecat · 18/10/2011 12:56

It will give a bit over time. Just keep wearing it.

Mine has never stretched. The lining wouldn't stretch anyway, even if the outer leather did.

As far as I can tell some of them shrink, but most stay unchanged.

It's not a thick leather, quite thin and the lining is not sewn tight to the leather. Not explaining it very well am I?!

Now I just have to decide if it suits me. Thanks ladies
