Help! What shoes do I wear out with a long black maxi dress?

Party season coming up...have a long black t shirt style maxi dress. Dead plain.
Right down to the floor.

I hate heels. I am normally a birkis/ugg boots/biker boots girl

Style is not trendy, but funky. Hippyish.

I have no idea what to wear on my feet that isn't sandley for the winter iykwim?

Are you a hippy kind of girl? If you are, I suggest black brogued lace up, calf length slight louis heeled boots. Clarks did them last year - if you live near an outlet, you may be able to find them. Or just wear your biker boots. Probs should add a bit of femininity to your outfit somewhere, if you wear the biker boots.

I got a pair of glitter pumps from next but I am at work so can't do the link. They were £19 and in the current book.

Sound awful but they are quite pretty. Went well with my black maxi.

Thanks. Biker boots might work. Will have a try on! Actually, ballet pumps might work for a posh do I'm going to. (posh by my low standards!)

I think I need to get a big bold necklace to funk it up a bit....that's the nice bit though...
