with thick tights/leggings and skirts?

Or what style of trousers?

I wouldn't wear them with skirts. Much more a trouser boot.

LynetteScavo · 16/10/2011 22:00

Oh, really? Sad

I agree, trousers

LynetteScavo · 16/10/2011 22:03

Does it matter what kind of trousers? Confused

OP posts:
dingdong3 · 16/10/2011 22:09

I wouldn't wear them at all...sorry. Don't like them. If they were the only boots I could find, I would hide them under bootleg trousers.

LynetteScavo · 16/10/2011 22:14

Grin I don't do bootlegs!

dingdong3 · 16/10/2011 22:23

sorry....I'm not a big ankle boot fan so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I'm sure there are other fab S&B girls out there who could help Grin

LynetteScavo · 16/10/2011 22:32

Well, I haven't bought them yet, they didn't have them in my size when I went shopping today.

I do need a comfortable flat shoe to wear all day. I don't want to wear ballet pumps all winter.

Well I love them, but would prob wear under jeans. If they were a bit higher I might wear them with a pencil skirt in a kind of clumpy chic way?

polyhymnia · 16/10/2011 22:43

Don't mind all ankle boots but really don't like them with elasticated sides personally. Some of the other Clarks boots would look better IMO eg. Norley Cedar and the more bikery ones.

Ooh don't like. Prefer the ones above. I would wear with skinny jeans.

Gingefringe · 18/10/2011 15:18

Agree the Majorca are much nicer.

MadAboutHotChoc · 18/10/2011 15:47

I have the Norley Cedar ones and these look great with skinny jeans, under boyfriends jeans and with skirts/tunics etc.

StopRainingPlease · 18/10/2011 19:36

I have some very similar, and I love them for practical everyday boots. Only really wear them with jeans though, and occasionally with long skirts. I don't think they go with knee-length or short skirts.

meltedchocolate · 18/10/2011 20:04

Oh sorry I really don't like them! The look a tad, plain, boring, unsexy. A flat version of the mum boot. The other ones linked to are much better.

LynetteScavo · 18/10/2011 20:14

I wanted them for work. Think smart casual. I'm going to go for a flat knee high boot instead. They are OK with dresses, aren't they?

OP posts:
jamaisjedors · 18/10/2011 20:20

What about these for with smart work trousers/skirts? kazuki

LynetteScavo · 18/10/2011 21:02

I really, really hate them! Grin

But thank you, anyway. Smile

OP posts:
jamaisjedors · 19/10/2011 09:40

oh dear, never mind!

midnightexpress · 19/10/2011 09:48

I'm not keen on them either I'm afraid, and definitely not a skirt boot. I have a pair of black lace-up KG ankle boots which look nice with skirts. I got them from this site, but they don't seem to be there any more. The dicounts are great and the service was excellent - ordered them on a Weds evening and they arrived on the Fri morning.

sprinkles77 · 19/10/2011 14:40

Sorry, not keen at all. Maybe with trousers. I have a vaguely similar pair but they are for riding, and I'd always cover the top with either my trousers or gaiters / half chaps.
