Winter Boots

I am searching for the "right" pair of winter boots. Actually, I've been looking for a couple of years.

I found these in Clarks and went to try them on this morning. Unfortunately, the sizing was strange - I'm a 6 and the 6 was too tight. The 6.5 right boot was fine but the left was still too tight and they didn't have any more to try on.

Anyway, I'm not convinced I actually liked them in the flesh - they are dark grey suede and I originally wanted brown, although I do like the style.

I want them with jeans but also with tights and skirts/dresses.

Can anyone recommend any boots please?

Your link just takes me to the Clark's homepage - Clark's website always does I've noticed. What's the style called so we can look?

Definitely trust your instinct about them not being quite right though, you've still got time to get some, where is that October snow they promised us?
