Anyone bought a nice casual top recently (need one TODAY)

I went into White stuff and I am OVER it, none of it fits and unless you are one particular figure type (not mine) it's crap. One of my friends wears it a lot and it really suits her but not me.

I am size 12-14 (14 mostly at the moment) and large-ish of nork. Don't want anything too tent like or too long. Any suggestions? It's to be worn with dark straight leg jeans - we are going out for lunch with friends tomorrow and I am sick of everything in my wardrobe

I will have dh and dc with me when shopping so want to be able to just run into shops and look at one thing rather than having time (or patience with my group of miserable shadows Wink ) to browse.

Thanks.

I bought this the other day from Debenhams. The drapy neckline is v flattering on big boobs and I think it looks fab with jeans (everything in my wardrobe is bought to go with jeans).

Oh I do like that but we're going to blue water and there's no debenhams there...grrrr!

Hello Gig :)

I have got some nice ones from Fatface - their long-sleeved henleys - but they are very casual. I wear mine with jeans and my merrell trainers for day to day .

Or actually I got a nice knitted dress/tunic thing in there which I wear with leggings because it comes up mid-thigh on me - am 5'2", but if you are taller then it would look good with jeans.

how are things?!

Will have a look in fat face. I have the best dress ever from there but since finding that (years ago) I think I've only bought one thing as it all went a bit sludgey.

I recently bought this top online and it fits nicely over my boobs and covers my mummy tummy too. Not sure if there's a House of Fraser in Bluewater though and it might only be available online.

Im not usually a Wallis fan but I saw this in store adn think with a nice pendant necklace it would be lovely with jeans for a smart lunch

Oh I love the wallis top - not sure about the colour on me - I will go and have a look in the shop - thanks!

Not keen on the phase 8 one (sorry!) but sale is good - will have a look at that too (poor dh and dc Smile)

Have a look in Hobbs. I've got a couple of lovely striped t-shirts in there recently. They wash really well and have flattering scoop necks for norkage. I got a fab draped camisole, which is really flattering, although obviously would need a cardigan or blazer over it.
