Do I need Microdermabrasion?

Im not even sure what it is. Is it what Sam on Sex and the City had when her face went all red and peeled?

Im determined to try one of these Groupon deals one day! Its £39 for three half hour sessions. I have dry perimenopausal skin. Am I the wrong candidate for it? thanks.

I think Samantha had a chemical peel. I have had microdermabrasion before and got quite good results. Wow £39 for three sessions is cheap! I'm thinking of having some more soon.

I wonder if its suitable for dry skin?

I had microdermabrasion after my dd was born. My skin went horrible, I had spider veins on my cheeks, blemishes, and microdermabrasion cleared it up. I had four sessions and didn't need anymore after that. It's a lovely treatment to have, I paid £40 a session, so £39 for three sessions is cheap, I would go for it. I had extremely dry skin when I had My treatments, so I think it is suitable for dry skin.

I've been thinking about it too (also through groupon). My skin's quite bumpy (from acne) - would microdermabrasion work for that?

Yes I think its ok for dry skin. You are advised not to wear makeup afterwards for at least 12 hours or it may be 24 hours.

durhambound · 12/10/2011 22:10

Yes it does work on acne.

I thought it was more for acne/scaring but, thats probably a chemical peel??

Im going to give it ago I think. I wonder if it will work on my wrinkles as well being optimistic for £39

I know the salon its a couple of blocks away from me so it should be ok.
