Peep Toes in Winter

This has probably been discussed lots here, but I need some advice on dressy shoes for winter. I am going to a wedding at the end of November and will wear a nice shift dress. I know I am going to need tights, and I really want a pair of 'fancy' shoes. However, lots of the ones I like are peep toe. I am pretty sure that peep toe shoes and opaques are a no-no, but what are my options then? Any advice???

Thanks Annette. Maybe peep toes with patterned tights (as sheer as possible) might work then?

IMO I would/do wear peep toe with (usually coloured) opaques - but personally I would never wear with any type of sheer tights. Just makes me think of my old dinner ladies.

Can convince myself that purple or teal opaques are edgy but sheer with open toe is more deidre Barlow for my liking.

peep toe with patterned tights look really good, IMHO!

LOVE peep toes with opaque/patterned tights.
