Like a Mum Boot, but not a Mum Boot - help needed please!

Please help! I start a new job this week, and have identified a gap in my footwear wardrobe.

Yes, I need something that is like a Mum Boot, but not a Mum Boot. It needs to be black; ankle or calf length so can go under long trousers; it needs to be comfy so not too pointy and have a mid height heel that has a chunk to it.

God I sound boring, don't I? I do have nice things, honest, but I also need a boot for those blaaah days when I have to stand or walk for long periods of time and wish to avoid cold feet. I don't want flat boots; that would need a whole new trouser wardrobe. And I like my clothes.

So: please please help. If you don't, I shall be forced to buy THESE, the superlative Boot of Mums, and front it out.

have to say that when considering mum boots, a wedge makes all the difference. Its the narrowish block heel thats the problem I think.

Pah! I sized down for my TS ones as the reviews advised and they are TINY! What size did you get, Hazel? Are they v narrow?

I like gold heeled TS ones -- but what would you wear them with?

Also how high is the heel?
