How do you store knee high boots?

I love a good boot and now have about five pairs - How do I store them?

I try to keep them with those boot shaper things in them in their boxes but am just too lazy. I want them to last so should look after them but just end up with them cluttering the place up.

tips from organised boot ladies much appreciated

In a heap in the cupboard under the stairs. But then I am not an organised boot lady. Sorry. They seem to be OK for it though.

Boots shapers and then led sideways in a plastic box/crate, in the bottom of my wardrobe.

The box goes into the loft over the summer to give me more room.

flat in bottom of wardrobe

By chance I had some of that foam pipe insulation one year of new boots and used that (too skint to buy boot stands) folded in half with a kink at the ankle, worked a treat and free too. They were either laid under the bed or stood in the gap by the wardrobe. Although now they are all folded up in a big pile I never wear, all worn out.

Under my bed, with the dust.

Stored flat and in the original boxes - have too many pairs to afford the boot shapers for each.
