Good waterproof mascara

I usually use Rimmel waterproof mascara and recently tried a thickening non-waterproof one. I was amazed at how much better the non-waterproof one looked. Can anyone recommend a waterproof mascara which gives a really good, thick-lashes look? I don't want to risk pander eyes, as I'm a cry baby sometimes chopping onions Wink

Or even panda eyes. Not sure what pander eyes are.

A lot of them are rubbish. I tend to use normal mascara with a waterproof top coat on top. Clarins do one. Estee Lauder used to one too but not sure if they still do. Although I have used a Lancome one a couple of times these last few days and found it quite good compared to most. Maybe see if you can get a sample at the counter. I think the one I have is Definicils.

Bear in mind that waterproof mascara is hard to remove, especially a thickening one, which in the long run means you shed a lot more lashes getting it off. I tend to recommend my clients only using it at particularly vulnerable times!

Oh ok. I seem to lose few taking off the waterproof stuff (which is probably why I'm looking for a thickening effect) maybe I'll try the normal mascara with a little waterproof on top technique you suggest. Don't want to end up with none!

I always recommend / use Clinique curling lash mascara. It's not particularly curling but it goes on well and quite thick and only comes off with warm water and gentle rubbing.
Doesn't budge or smudge at all.

Also agree waterproof mascara is often thin and just doesn't feel nice.

Thanks whojimmyflip will check that out too.
