Fancy dress (((groan)))

Am Cruella Deville.

Would rather poke eyes out than wear stupid wig, so is there a way I can make some (half?) my hair white?

Dh suggested tin of White gloss out of the shed. Fool.

Fancy dress shops usually do spray-in hair colour.

HotBurrito1 · 06/10/2011 11:48

Can't you get coloured hairspray in joke shops?

HotBurrito1 · 06/10/2011 11:49

Coloured hair spray

boxoftricks · 06/10/2011 11:50

dry shampoo!

exexpat · 06/10/2011 11:52

What trills said, or tippex (have used it for the same thing in the past, and it did come out).

bluepuffle · 06/10/2011 11:58

I've got several cans of white hair spray dd used for a xmas dance show. You can get it in Claires but it is expensive or on the internet.

Geordieminx · 06/10/2011 12:01

Think that may be the way forward ... Thanks!

Second the dry shampoo! That is what I am planning for Halloween as it actually looks disturbingly real.

Jammygal · 06/10/2011 13:04

Backing up the dry shampoo but you will need a whole can ;)

Havingkittens · 06/10/2011 13:58

Depending on how large a section of white you want, what about a clip in hair weft/extension? If you go to a an afro hair and beauty shop you can buy a length of weft quite cheaply and cut a wider bit off than you would get in the ready cut ones and then just buy the little clips and sew them on. They are really easy to use.

Geordieminx · 06/10/2011 13:59

Oh I have that, could do a test run...

Am thinking back comb most of it, with a White bit ( hair is dark brown anyways)

Just really don't want to wear wig as it's for work... All day Hmm

Clip in extensions.

www.ecrater.co.uk/p/7998436/16-long-silvery-white-clip-in-hair

When I was young and prone to silly things I would wear blue ones, Make sure you clip under your hair and then style them forward, cut and shape etc.

But yes, vair cheap and easy

bethelbeth · 06/10/2011 14:17

It'd be easier with one thicker extension... if you go to Salon Services you might be in business

Geordieminx · 06/10/2011 14:21

With it being Cruella I am channelling it needs to be kinda "big" hair, so not sure how well a clip in would work?

OP posts:
bethelbeth · 06/10/2011 15:52

If the extension is short enough- with hairspray theyll stand out by themselves.

I had a nosey on your profile, nice cakes by the way, if your hair is still short it'll be easier as there's less natural hair to hide. But if extensions are thick enough it'll look fine.

Also, it's fancy dress, it doesn't need to be perfect Grin

Geordieminx · 06/10/2011 16:21

Thank you!

Hair is half way down my back now Grin
