what coat can i get for winter?

I dont like winter coats! Usually wear jackets or short mac type cost. What kind of warm coat can I get - probably black - that will go with skirts/dresses/work trousers/jeans?

I think its a really difficult question! I don't think there is one coat that fits all occasions.

For example its freezing but not raining coat

going to be in the car most of the time and don't need it to be too warm

its baltic and raining and I just want to be warm type coat
