I saw that in the shop. I didn't but it, but I didn't think it was bad ( for the price) at all.

I like a good laugh at per una as much as the next (wo) man but I don't get handbag snobbery at all, sorry! Looks like a nice useful big bag to me...

I have a lovely bag from M&S from about 4 years ago, very classic and I still use it but some of the things at the moment are dreadful.

Its not snobbery as such but if you have a Lucia its funny because this looks like pissweak-world plastic-fantastic Lucia.

Hate the zip above the 2 pockets (they probably had to do that to not get sued )

The Lucia is near identical to the Mulberry Annie, which isn't made anymore, so they can't complain too much if someone else rips the style off. Radley had a nice bag in the sale (can't remember name) which was almost exactly like the Annie/Lucia. It's obviously become a generic style.

Maybe there's something wrong with me. I don't like the M&S one or the Lucia.

I don't especially like either, but it's £69 vs £199. No contest really, for virtually identical bags.

I've never spent £199 on a bag, and don't really get this bag snobbery. I judge people on plenty of things, but strangely, their handbag (unless it's outrageous) will never be one of them.

I own the lucia peony and moore, and I have to admit I do like it, but I don't think its worth paying £199 for it.
I think the lucia is overpriced for what it is, and also it is a copy of the annie mulberry. I also think the Milly bag is overpriced.

I don't think anyone was judging an individual for their handbag, more M&S for their product. There are plenty of lovely M&S things but this isn't one of them imo of course. I do think there a difference in quality from the lucia and this- so I think it is worth paying extra.

I think quality shows up in bags - the M & S ones are good for what they are - meant to last a season and throw away like other high street ones - but a good leather bag lasts longer than that - like the Lucia I have - it is good quality and looks it imo.

oh ! - - and doesn't everyone copy everyone else in fashion anyway??
