sigh. I've lost nearly two stone recently, so had a quick look in Primark today as lots of my size 20 stuff is now too big and I'm wearing size 18 stuff bought ages ago when I was last a size 18 from M&S and Debs.

I fancied a couple of new bits and bobs but don't want to spend too much as I'm aiming to be a size 16 soon-ish. Tried on a pair of jeans and a top and neither came anywhere near me Sad. I've got at least 2 more stone to lose so am keeping going, but are Primark generally less generous than other shops?

It is all a bit nuts isn't it? I remember wombling around Primarni and a sales assistant complained that the size 6 were all too small for her. I got size rage!!!!

All relative, innit.

Primark are true to size IME, as is Topshop, River Island, Warehouse. I'm an 8/10 there.

Whereas stuff meant for "older" people comes up bigger - see M&S, Next, Sainsburys, meaning I'm definitely an 8 if not even a 6. (Apart from Sainsbury's pants, which can be weirdly small). Thing is, I'm not skinny. I can grab flab on my thighs, bum and tummy. So I guess genuinely skinny people just can't buy clothes in the likes of M&S any more??

Sorry I find primark ok on size
Next and M&S bigger
Zara and H&M brutally small
