I haven't (yet) but was reading a thread the other day (think it was the original 'waterproof bum-covering coat' thread in S&B) and a poster on there ran an online shop selling Scandinavian coats. Aaaanyway, she spoke v highly of Didriksons. Will try and remember her name and find the thread.

Haha! Just found the thread and I see you're already on it.

Has it arrived yet? I bought a "Perry" from ebay for £39 for my ds and it is fab, sadly not available in the right size for my other dc's. Think I am going to get the pink Camden for my dd, expensive but if the one we have is anything to go by it looks like it will definitely be worth it :)

Hi, yes it arrived and she loves it. It's similar shape to a ski jacket as opposed to a parka shape.
It's very light. I'm just hoping that even though its light it will be warm. I have a trespass ski jacket and it feels similar, that is really warm so hopefully this will be the same. She loves the thumb holes on it:) and The fact that it doesn't feel bulky.

Ooh fab it's good to have a real life review! Ds loves the Perry coat for the same reason, he hates heavy, bulky coats. Need to get on and order, do you mind me asking where you got yours from?

mousyfledermaus · 11/10/2011 14:53

yes, we have didriksons rain-sets for the dc. bought the first on a wash out holiday in sweden and I got a raincoat as well.
quality is very good, sizing generous. they wash very well.
the swedes know their stuff about wet and cold.

I found these places stocking them.

We got ours from little trekkers because they did to she 8. But some of the others are cheaper and have a nicer colour selection.

Thanks kbaby, ordered dd the greeny blue one from one of your links, also got the fuschia gloves and some snow boots so she is ready for winter! All arrived this morning and it is lovely, looks almost identical (except for colour/writing) to the Perry one I got ds2. Just ds1 now to sort out, I am going to measure him and see if he will fit in the little trekkers age 8 one. Expensive but hopefully worth it. I have washed ds's twice already and it still looks perfect and dries very quickly.

I've bought DD the Camden coat from www.vikingkids.co.uk - she loves the furry hood and it keeps her superwarm and toasty on the school run. We walk every day and I was getting fed up with being drenched at the school gates so have invested in the Didrikson's Celeste in Whitefor myself - I LOVE it! It is so warm and the styling is really nice - you can cinch the waist in and shape it a bit and it is really waterproof. I'm a size 12-14 and bought the 12. They have their sale on at the moment too :D
