blinking hell!

Just wanted to share this with you to see if my experience is a one off.
I went to a blink brow bar today for an eyebrow shape (threading)- not my usual place and I was a bit shocked with the price but having waited for ages thought I would give it a go.
The service was awful. They gave me a consultation to discuss the shape I wanted and then the threading started. Every minute or so they would stop to show me in the mirror and ask what more I thought they should do. The woman seemed really uncertain. In the end the manager had to come over to try and sort it out. My eyebrows were completely wonky Shock
It took over half an hour of them messing about trying to make it better and were upset when I didn't stay for the aftercare and massage Hmm
I just wanted to get out and refused their offer of a complimentary treatment.
I just couldn't believe that they charge £17 and yet made such a hash of it. Is it just me or have other people had a similar experience?

Most places I have seen charge anything between £5 and £10. You were definitely ripped off. I do agree there are crap ones out there. When you get a good one you will be amazed and delighted with the results.

Oh, and it shouldn't take more than 10-15 mins (unless you're Denis Healey Grin)

MissBeehiving · 04/10/2011 22:37

I had mine done in Superdrug (£7) - quick (10mins) and good.

Mimmit · 05/10/2011 21:53

Grin at Denis Healey. No nnot quite that bad! Superdrug sounds good. Will give them a go. Thank you!

Oooh I love threading. We have a small Indian salon in the village who charge £4.50, don't so much as ask what you want but always get it perfect thank god.

Blink is ridiculously overpriced but I've always had good results from there. The massage at the end is fab, shame you missed it.

Did you pay in the end? If you're not happy with the results, go back and complain to the manager.
