ankle boots and dresses

Have given up trying to get boots to fit my wide calves. I am considering ankle boots, any suggestions for boots to wear with dresses ? I also have wide feet in a size 8. Thanks

New look do ankle and shoe boots in wide fitting up to a saize 9 I think. Plus they have £10 off all their boots just now-I bought 2 pairs yesterday! I think shoe boots look better with dresses than ankle boots.

I would say a shoe boot is the way to go, more flattering on the leg. I think unless you have long legs, ankle boots can cut the leg short. loads of great bargains at new look

I agree with Clure.

I'm fairly slim but just 5ft and ankle boots with dresses/skirts do make me look a tad dumpy unfortunately.
