I think this boot quest may become a saga...

I am just too fussy.

I have in mind black suede ankle boots with a wedge/platform, but- and here's the stickler- not too high.

These are close (thanks to whoever found them for me- sieve like memory, sorry), but I want more of a platform on the sole and less on the heel IYSWIM.

I need a size 8.

Feel free to read this, do this face Hmm and click on a waterproof coat thread. God knows I would. However, if you can help at all, I would be most grateful.

low enough?

nickschick · 01/10/2011 14:00

these?

Collision · 01/10/2011 14:02

these

nickschick · 01/10/2011 14:02

similar but cheaper

Collision · 01/10/2011 14:03

I think NicksChick might have won!

nickschick · 01/10/2011 14:07

topshop but not suede

tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:07

Sorry nickschick (and everyone else), they're still not right Sad

The carvela ones have too much at the heel and not enough on the sole

The Asos ones have a slightly better ratio, but are too high overall and are not suede

The peacocks ones have no platform at all, just wedge.

Thanks for looking though. I'll try and find a pic of some shoes with the height of sole I'm after...

Grin yayyyy

nickschick · 01/10/2011 14:07

withdraws yayyyy and slinks away defeated.

nickschick · 01/10/2011 14:08

I think the topshop ones are the right sole width but theyre not as 'classy' looking.

tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:11

Aw, sorry Nickschick...

Which are the topshop ones? Link goes to peacocks ones again...

Ok, these shoes are VILE, but have the right size/shaped sole I'm after. Here. The carvella ones would be perfect if the sole was shaped more like that.

You mean this shape? ..but without the laces.

Thumbwitch · 01/10/2011 14:14

try this page and see if there is anything on there that matches what you are after

It's quite hard finding platform/wedge soles - the search filter on that site didn't offer it as an option

tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:17

HotBurrito, they would be perfect if they were black and had no laces.

tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:19

Thanks ruby, but those are not what I'm after.

Thumbwitch · 01/10/2011 14:27

these?

tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:28

Topshop ones not bad at all, I could do those- if they were suede and not bloody plastic Angry

Urban outfitters ones good ration, but too high...

Jill Sander ones too high...

I know. I hate myself.

OP posts:
tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:29

Those zapata ones have the same sole as the carvela ones...

OP posts:
HotBurrito1 · 01/10/2011 14:30

did someone link to these before?

Thumbwitch · 01/10/2011 14:32

or these?

tethersend · 01/10/2011 14:33

They did, and the elastic pull on bits put me off... but they may be the closest i'm going to get to my ideal boot...
