i don't think it's an age thing, i think it's a style/condition/colour thing.

my step-mother's in her late 50s and has beautiful (dyed) brown, naturally curly hair to just below her shoulders (so longish, non?) and it looks v youthful, def not ageing.

at 42... pffttt....years til you have to worry. I'm about to turn 40 and i'll be holding onto mine for the foreseeable future.

I get loads of compliments on my hair - it's long - below bra strap length, and while I'm not as old as my nickname suggests, I'm no teenager.

Agree condition is vital.
