Hi ladies, I dont wear make up ( never needed to ) I have a wedding coming up in two weeks time, and I would love to wear some, just to give my face abit of oomph. I am going to buy BE, can someone tell me what colour foundation to go for? what lipstick colour I should wear, and also eyeshadow colour.
I am olive colouring, bit tanned ( natural) My eye colour is hazel, and My hair is brown.

I have olive skin and wear medium (medium beige is a bit orange) but I would suggest going to a counter and they can help you get the right shade. I haven't tried BE lipstick, my current fave is UNE (some Boots stores have it), they have some lovely natural looking shades.

Thanks caffinequeen, I was thinking about popping to debenhams and trying some on.

try a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation,I use boots no7 in the medium shade as like you hazel eyes, dark brown hair & natural tanned skin, looks great as I don't do heavy makeup & this gives coverage without being heavy, eyeshadow I avoid at all costs so can't advise & lipstick I us either a no7 one in a mid pink shade or a chanel one called insouciance

Hi husbandsatcricketagain, Im not to keen on eyeshadow tbh, it was more the lippy and foundation, I was thinking of going for the mineral veil, iv'e heard mally make up is supposed to be good.

What's BE? Good eye shadow, which is subtle, is Boots's Natural whatever thing in Heather. It's not heathery really and is only about 2.99. You do need an eye primer though if using eye shadow

Hi said, BE is Bare Escentuals.

I would get the BE foundation matched exactly at your nearest counter if possible. I use a mixture of medium and medium beige, depending on how tanned I am. Maybe buy the starter kit in medium\medium beige I think. This comes with mineral veil which you need to set the foundation.
There was a lipstick kit in mauve which is nice with your colouring. Comes with a lipstick, top gloss and lipliner.
Eyeshadow wise moss is a nice neutral colour with a bit of sparkle (sorry that sounds trashy but is actually quite nice if applied lightly).
good luck.

Thanks mumelie, I think medium would suit my skin, as I am not that tanned, more olive with a hint of tan.
