home hair dye - is it about to go wrong?

So, colour my hair regularly with L'oreal casting, today mixed it together and then got distracted. It's 'developed' I guess in the tube - going from normal pale pink to full red.

If I apply it now will it still do anything or have I just wasted 7 quid?

how about doa strand test somewere not noticable or ring the helpline which should be on the product packet..good luck x
