I've been lusting after this dress for a few weeks:-

Et voila

And with the 20% code, it cost me £55. I'm thinking some nice fishnet stockings with a patent high heel court shoe. Any thoughts?

Et Voila ?

Champagnevanity · 25/09/2011 10:02

Fishnet stockings. No.

Unless you are Ke$ha, have a remarkable resemblance, or are going to a festival, (mind you ke$ha wouldnt wear that).

Their are no need for fishnet stockings/tights.

Black opaques, or for a touch of glamour, invest in a pair with the seams down the back. Adding a bit of glamour.

I always wear fishnets. I like them. And the dress is fab! Think I may get it for my graduation next month... And wear it with fishnets.

YouDoTheMath · 25/09/2011 10:21

I LOVE fishnets. Aslong as they're the close-knit ones, they're slimming and just a bit different to plain tights.

OtterBjitch · 25/09/2011 10:22

DSis always wears fishnets over very sheer tights. Looks amazing - sort of expensive sexy, IYKWIM.

Lovely dress.

Champagnevanity · 25/09/2011 10:24

hmmm Fair enough.

I just think depending on age, people should air on the side of caution.

FellatioNelson · 25/09/2011 10:29

I think fishnets would look really nice with that, providing you are young/slim enough not to look muttony.

iarebaboon · 25/09/2011 10:39

Ooo it's lovely

Care to share the code?

pettyprudence · 25/09/2011 10:53

YY to close knit fishnets! I am Shock that coast/debenhams have called this a day dress though - am I really out of touch?

shoeprincess2 · 25/09/2011 13:51

PJ8P is the code, but it runs out today!

I was very nearly put off the fishnets, but seeing as I'm 5' 10" and have long slim (ish) legs, i reckon I can pull it off. I do wonder if the fishnet tights from a dance shop would be better. i remember Shirley Manson from Garbage saying that she liked the dancers fishnets, as they are shape enhancing. And she always rocked the dress and tights look!

A day dress? Hmmmm. I think it would be too nice to wear for work. I'm going to save it for our Christmas meal at a very chi chi restaurant.

I love fishnets too - spesh over sheers. Looks great. That dress is lovely, but soooooo not nork friendly.

NatureAbhorsAHoover · 25/09/2011 20:09

I think we're all agreeing on micro fishnets not regular old-fashioned ones Smile

KristinaM · 25/09/2011 20:13

I am also agreeing that at 5' 10" with long slim legs you can get away witha lot Envy

FreddieMercurysBolero · 26/09/2011 00:39

I get mine in Primark, they do nude ones too. And yes they are micro ones, not the gigantic trashy diamond things. Jealous of 5'10ness, you have 10 inches on me!

It sometimes makes me fee like a giraffe though, when I'm in my 4 inch heels. Right, so I have the dress, I know where to get the fishnets from. Now for some delightful patent/ regular black high heeled court shoes. They have to be ones that don't cripple the balls of my feet- any ideas ladies?
