what boots to wear

Hi,

I seem to be so old fashioned and mumsy now I'm not sure if I'm still dressing for the nineties.

I need some new boots. I want brown and they need to go with bootleg jeans. I'm only 5ft 4 so preferably some with some height.

I've scoured the shops and come to the conclusion thathat i must be too safe as I didn't like any.

Please can someone tell me what boots are in fashion

I have Fly Mols, like a lot of MNers! They are lovely but not that high.

I like those ones, the only thing I find though is if I wear long boots under jeans, the tops of the boots cause my jeans to tick in on the calf. Anyone else find that.

Boot cut jeans and boots will age you for sure. Would you consider skinnies or leggings with a tunic.

You are maybe styling it right and of course I don't know you and have never seen you but the very idea of boot cut jeans and boots is just wrong.

Sounds bizarre I know but it just looks so old fashioned! All you need to finish it off is a fleece!!

Don't do it kbaby. Skinnies with tall boots or straight/skinny with ankle boots. It's the only way!

I do leggings with knee high boots, dresses with knee high boots and skinny jeans with knee high boots or ballet pumps too but I like the cut of bootleg jeans, they make me look taller
We wear casual clothes to work so I tend to wear a mixture of the above.
Maybe that's where I'm going wrong then, wearing bootleg with boots. So what jeans other than skinny/straight should I wear? I can't get my head around wearing skinny with ankle boots.
Also if I'm wearing knee height boots with skinny jeans does it matter if theyre high heeled or flat(I've got both)
