Have looked on a few local websies but they all say 'call for a consultation'.

Which I don't want to do just yet, not before knowing if I could possibly save enough.

Am in the Noth West/ Manchester area.

Where I work (private hospital) they charge around £4000. We are consultant led and one of our consultants is of The Only Way Is Essex fame...he was on the episode when Jess Wright had hers done, he also did Amy's and their off-screen mates.

I had one about 4 years ago with MyBreast - it cost me £4250. They only use plastic surgeons who are based in the UK.

I don't watch it, sorry.

It's more £4k and up. I suppose it depends on where you go. We are not an aesthetics hospital, we also do Orthopaedics, Gynae, ENT, General Surgery etc. Just a private one. We have 3 consultants work for us, all very good and well praised on aesthetics forums.

Not many procedures go wrong. I have seen one girl unhappy that they weren't under her chin and that they fell to the side when she lay down (the consultant likes his breasts to look as natural as possible) and a lady who had a haematoma...however she was at the gym 3-days post-op. NOT advised, so her own fault. 99.9% of patients are VERY happy with the results.

The main thing that can go wrong is something called capsular contracture, which I think happens in about 7% of people who have the surgery. It's when your body rejects the implant and your boobs go like cement. The surgeon I had had a rate of only 2% for cc - it's quite unlikely to happen if you choose implants that are not too big and follow the aftercare advice to the letter.

Just make sure you have a plastic surgeon and not a 'cosmetic surgeon'.

Hi there I am currently saving for one too. I have an appointment for a consultation with Transform. I think their prices start from £3650.00. I went to my local Nuffield hospital and was quotes £4650. I really want one but I am so nervous about it.

Arrgh! So Jealous your actually putting the steps in place to have one, i have wanted a boob job for years! But with being at uni, ect the money needs to go on other things.

They don't last forever though, am I right? They have potential to leak or go hard or whatever and so people should make sure they have money for further ops years down the line?

I went to a presentation and was told they come with a lifetime guarantee and unlikely to go hard. There are risks though and when I look at some forums there are some horror stories out there. I wish I had a magic wand!!!!

I too had mine done 4 years ago with MyBreast. Have had no problems whatsoever & the price included being able to go back if there are any problems EVER, not many companies have that sort of aftercare guarantee. These days they don't routinely need replacing every 10 years - if you have no problems they can stay in as long as you like!

Got mine done cheap in Thailand, £2000 ish. Apparently they do loads of trannies.

Good luck SnugglyDuckling. Yeah, I think what's important is making sure you have a surgeon who is based in the UK all the time in case you get any problems. Although can understand why people go abroad to get it done when it's so much cheaper. That wasn't an option for me as I wanted to be in and home as quickly as possible 1. because I have kids and 2. because I didn't want my parents to find out about it! They still don't know....

Anyone had a breast uplift op or has any idea of cost? I dont want implants, just to stop them heading any further south!!
