Plain black boots

I want some plain black boots. They must be knee length or over the knee, not have a zip at the ankle only (makes them go baggy) and be slimish fitting. I don't mind a bit of a heel or flat. I am a 40 or 7.

These I liked but they're too short.

I tried probably 30 pairs of boots yesterday in Office, Russell & Bromley, Schuh, Dune, Pied a Terre, Geox.

I want them to wear with dresses.

TIA.

What about Nine West Nettle boots, also available on the HoF website? I have these and they come right up to my knees (I'm 5 ft 10 and long legged). They are flat and fairly plain with a couple of buckles. The zip is full length and at the back of the boot.

I do wish shops would give more information about the height of boots, my previous "knee" boots only came up to my calves and looked pretty daft (going to charity now!).
