Which high street shop (apart from Argos) sell really cheap hair curling tongs?

We're attending a wedding next week and I wanted to curl DD's hair in parts and then put in some lovely hair spirals I got from Debenhams. I thought I could pop into Argos this week and get their cheap hair curling tongs, but they're out of stock in every store near me!

I've tried Amazon, and found some cheap morphy richards tongs that are onyl £4.50 - but then I don't know if I will get them by next Sunday. I'd rather walk into a shop and buy some for as cheap as possible upto £10 (as I don't see myself or DD using them ever again).

Can anyone please help? I live in Oxford if that's any help!

superdrug or tesco - you can do fab curls with hair straighteners though have a lookey on u tube to see how.

Also, just a thought, I don't know how old dd is or more importantly how much hair she has but have you considered the old fashioned 'ragging', it gives lovely ringlets and all you need is some old fabric. Again, rather than a long winded explanation Grin have a look on YouTube for a demo hth

Thanks for the quick replies! DD is nearly 4, has a shortish bob with really thick hair. I don't know if I could use the rag method.

I have hair straighteners! Will go and check out Youtube now!

i got some really good ones the other week from Boots, they had quite few under a tenner

Asda do them for less than £4

sainsburys?

Well I checked out the curling with hair straighteners and it didn't seem to work very well.

ASDA and Tesco were out of stock of their cheapy tongs. Went onto the Sainsbury's page and they have a sale on, so will place an order for the Vidal Sassoon tong and brush tomorrow which is £6.49 on sale and pick it up in-store! Thanks lou33!!
