Boden black maxi dress

has anyone tried this? It seems to have mixed reviews. Is it really poofie on the empire line and does sizing down help eradicate the maternity look? I like the idea of having one with sleeves and suit a flat empire line as I have a wide ribcage and little waist to speak of. Thanks for any guidance!

I have tried the very similar Phase Eight one - and Morticia Addams was who I saw in the mirror.

I have several of the Boden maxis from various seasons though, with that crossover, empire waist styling and they are lovely and comfy and very good quality heavyweight stretch jersey. I didn't find them too poofy, and I don't think the addition of arms would alter that. I think you have to try it and see really.
