Where should jeans' hem be?

I think my new jeans are too short, but that may be because I'm used to wearing bootcuts trailing along the floor. These are skinnies and stop just above the top of my shoe. I'm 5'3'' if that makes any diff, and size 8 (just!).

Will I get bullied for wearing sad jeans?

no that sounds fine for skinnies- I like that you don't end up fraying the bottom.
