Swedish Hasbeens

Does anyone know of any UK stockists of this brand of shoes/boots? Or places that do mail order from within the UK? I've tried all the UK stockists listed on the brand's website but none of them have the boots I want these ones but in 'natural' colour

I don't really want to order them from the Swedish website and have the price bumped up by international postage etc, and the possible hassles of if they get stopped coming through Customs or if I have to return them. Also, does anyone know if the sizes come up big, small or true? The only stockist I've found (John Lewis) didn't have any Swedish Hasbeens in anything like my size (UK 8 usually, occasionally 7), so I haven't even been able to try them on for size.

Sorry, long! But thanks very much in advance.

Lotta from Stockholm, ASOS Amazon EBay.
Sizes are pretty true, maybe slightly generous but that's good with a boot.

Lovely boots!

Thank you! Lotta doesn't have them but I've emailed to see if she's getting any. Drawn a blank on the other sites. Fingers crossed. Thanks also for the size info.

Ok sorry then I dont have any more ideas - the natural shoe store in cov garden has sanita shoes which are just as nice and much cheaper but that's not what you are asking is it. Good luck

No, thank you for all your help; I appreciate it! I'll get there. Smile

Net - a - Porter have these in burgundy so it may be worth checking to see if they will stock the natural colour. However, I ordered some sandals from the Hasbeens on-line store and it was no hassle at all.

Unfortunately, I found that the wooden soles stain and chip really easily so I would not buy them if that would bother you. I would also have a look at the 'good to know' bit on the Hasbeens web site which suggests that you need to massage the natural coloured leather with olive oil, sand down the wooden soles if they chip, and should not wear their boots and shoes in the wet. It all sounds like really hard work to me !

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/09/2011 10:24

Oooh, thanks castor! Net-a-porter don't seem to have them, not at the moment anyway.

Shock at 'should not wear their boots and shoes in the wet.' That's what boots are for!! I might be having second thoughts. I don't mind a bit of sanding and massaging (oo-err missis) but if I can't wear them every time it might rain ... well, I can't wear them at all unless I leave the country, can I?

I thought I had found my holy grail of boots with the tan hasbeens but they have already slightly chipped at the front. Plus, I clomp around like no bodies business in them and I live up too many stairs and the scratching to the wood is mainly caused by stairs, I would say.

PlumSykes · 14/09/2011 21:24

Urban Outfitters have them in black. Might be worth calling to see if they have them in stores in tan. Alternatively, order black for fit, then return and order your preferred colour from non-UK site.

PlumSykes, you're a genius, thank you! None of these sites has them in my size but I'll keep an eye on them.
