Clarks

I just don't trust myself anymore. I buy things and then discover they are mumsy.

Could you wear them witha skirt (and look good)?

hi you! Yes I did slope off - I had a biiig think on at work, which was mostly on line and I knew this place would be too much of a distraction. But that thing is all done and dusted!

dd - she started BIG school last Monday and......she is utterly blossoming! One week and she is swanning round like the Queen of Sheba!

Good for your dd! Mine is totally sick of disco now.Grin

One of my housemates when I was a student was a Hendrix fan, but tried a bit too hard... He repeatedly referred to the song in question as 'Voodoo Chile'. I hadn't the heart to correct him.

moondog · 12/09/2011 23:20

That's great.
I like that guy.
Just my sort of thing.

Good to hear you and yours are well and you are back with us.
I missed you. Smile

moondog · 12/09/2011 23:21

Hehe, Tether. Grin
I did the same as an enthusiastic pre-teen.
(My Hendrix fixation wasn't really appreciated in an all girls boarding school.)

chocolaterainbow thinks all the others are mumsy except the OP ones, I really really liked the first pair you had in mind, although I think a little teeny bit cheap looking for £60...

chocolaterainbow · 13/09/2011 00:06

Take that back, get those ones pan just posted! :D

latrucha · 13/09/2011 10:25

Sorry. DS woke up with Stomach pain.

Monsoon boots too plae. I live in West Wales. Waterproof at least ish is needed.

I do like the Rocket Dog ones, but they're not leather and IME non-leather lasts about 5 minutes.

As to what I want to wear it with: I really want a pair of magic boots that go with everything, but I'll settle for ones that go with jeans and / or a denim skirt.

Boot dilemmas. Every bloody year.

I've just ordered www.amazon.co.uk/Fly-London-Womens-Leather-Wedges/dp/B002PHMDSIthese in petrol blue. Maybe not dressy enough?

FunnysInTheGarden · 13/09/2011 13:48

oh rubbish link. Try again here?

SnakeOnCrack · 13/09/2011 14:42

M&S actually have a couple of nice pairs at the moment. I've just got some ankle biker-esque type ones which are really comfy and were only £30. They go well with skirts or jeans. They have plenty of brown leather ones in though.

chocolaterainbow · 13/09/2011 15:36

how about these?

or these? are £a bit more, but will probably last forever, fashion and quality wise, I think? and still well under a £100, so your up £20 (treat yourself eh! lol)

these would go with loads of outfits I think they'd look pretty with a print dress/jeans/mini/oh the possibilities for clothes! and shoes! :)

latrucha · 13/09/2011 21:13

I like the cheapies!

bonkers20 · 13/09/2011 22:50

tethersend the ones you posted are dog poo coloured!

tethersend · 13/09/2011 23:42

Perfect camouflage for tramping the streets of London Wink

PerAr6ua · 15/09/2011 19:16

The boots I linked to just turned up and are lovely. Although I'm fighting the urge to make a patchwork purple and brown ankle length skirt... No, I will resist.

And I may have accidentally ordered the Kimble heeled chelseas in black, but am pleased to report the leather is proper stiff and glossy and they may too get over-used. Not with a skirt though.

latrucha · 15/09/2011 20:55

Still way high Grin Wink

Glad you're sorted!

OP posts:
PerAr6ua · 15/09/2011 20:56

Perfect arch support I tell you Grin

kathie1404 · 15/09/2011 20:59

No, they are awful and a definate definate no no with a skirt. sorry!

latrucha · 15/09/2011 20:59

I'll believe you. Wink

(LaTrucha remembers a pair of high heels from Clarks that WERE comfortable and begins to think Per might not be deceiving herself really.... hmmm)

I hover around S&B in need of help at the moment and can't advise on ankle boots. Quite surprised by Clarks this season, I like a lot of their stock.

I bloody love the Matt Schofield Trio though.

meltedchocolate · 16/09/2011 11:02

I also liked the OP boots but thought the next few boots that followed were VERY mumsy (sorry). The office tall boots are awesome and those rocket dog real ankle boots I want!
