How do you store your scarves?

I've about 30 scarves - ranging from Promark to Boden, oversized to skinny - cluttering up the bottom of my wardrobe. I'd love to store / hang / organise them properly so I can see at a glance what's available rather than continue with my current chaos!! Please style-gurus, can anyone suggest an easy solution? TIA.

My mum used to have them on a tie rack.

It was like a coat hanger with a bit long rectangle body with little hooks/ledges for each tie/scarf to fold over.

Yes I know that description was piss poor but I dont know what they are actually called.

I have a coathanger that has hooks on it for belts etc. I use that and loop them through

I got two hangers on sale at TKMaxx for two ninety nine a few months back for scarves etc. Well worth it imo.

I have a drawer for mine but it does involve a bit of rummaging sometimes.

Fantastic! Love you lot!!

One of these from IKEA

UnrequitedSkink · 12/09/2011 22:52

TK Maxx - one of those wrought iron (though they come in other materials!) over-the-door multi coat hooks. At-a-glance, easy to find scarves. Have to admit, I was a bit smug when I thought of it.

The ikea thing with the circles (iPhone can't do links sorry) is great!!!

doglover · 13/09/2011 10:03

Once again, thanks everyone. An amazing response to a pretty boring question!!

my dad used to use net curtain wire (the White springy plastic coated stuff with hook and eye ends) and fix them to the inside of our wardrobe doors. he used them for his ties and belts, mum hung her scarves from hers. ingenious use of otherwise dead space I think! (makes mental note to ask aged father to do the same to all wardrobes in my house!)

TracyK · 13/09/2011 11:13

I've got the Ikea thing as well. Hang it on the dressing gown hook on the back of my dressing room door.

trumpton · 13/09/2011 11:38

I have THIS TYPE OF HANGER

iWILLdothis · 13/09/2011 14:42
