Have a Babyliss Big Hair but not getting on with it - what am I doing wrong?

Following many threads on this, I finally bought a BBH earlier this year. I didn't use it much so was going to sell it, but didn't get round to ebaying it so I decided to give it another try.

What am I doing wrong? It keeps totally tangling up all the time. I part dry it beforehand and although it does seem to leave my hair shiny, tbh it is pretty shiny if I just use a brush when I dry it. I can't seem to get much volume with it - which is the only reason I bought it.

I am fed up with untangling my hair from the bloomin' thing and am tempted to just sell it.....but so many people rave about it I feel it must work and I am just getting it wrong?

I have thin, fine hair. It is quite long - down to my lower back. I did wonder if that was the problem? Is my hair too long?

I think it sounds like you're using too much hair at a time - it tangles when it's over capacity. Try having your hair about 75% dry, combing it through and then using smaller sections until each one is totally dry. There's some good tutorials on YouTube too.

I agree, sounds like you're trying to do too much at one time. You also need to lift the section right up to get the best effect. So don't just sort of stick it into your hair. Separate out and lift up a section. Don't use the fastest setting until you've got the hang of it.

Hair length might be a factor. I got mine when my hair was a few inches shorter and it never tangled up. Now my hair's grown a bit longer and I do find it gets tangled sometimes. Remember to just press the opposite button to rotate the other way to untangle it.

I think I'd end up in A&E if I tried one of those on my hair.....!
