I have [[http://www.feverdesigns.co.uk/sophia-prom-dress-duck-egg-blue.html this dress] which I love, but I am really atruggling to know what to buy to wear with it in the evening when it gets a bit cold. The wedding is next weekend so I can order something online or go into town, I just don't know what will actually go with it or look good. A shawl? Pashmina? Cardigan? What colour? Gold? It's hard to match the blue.

Please help, I am desperate!

I think either a pashmina or shrug to match the blue - monsoon often have little silky knitted shrugs that might be suitable. Or yes, a gold scarf/shawl might also look good. If you can't find a really good match for the blue I'd go for a lighter blue. What shoes are you wearing with it?

Thanks MrsCog. I have some gold wedge sandals that I always wear with the dress in summer, hoping they will do still? Or do you have other suggestions?

you could do navy or cobalt or turquoise shoes bag and wrap/ shrug ......
Or cream/ ivory coat over it with a pretty sparkly bag.....
or if you wore your gold wedges what about introducing a lemon peach or fuchsia bag wrap combo ........

need to bring the dress and try em on together to see over all effect tho!

Yes - they sound great :)

tethersend · 11/09/2011 21:28

This would work well.

overmydeadbody · 11/09/2011 22:23

oooh I love that tethersend! That would definately work! Now I just need to find the exact same thing at a more affordable price!

Ok, I am going to take these ideas and head to the shops during the week, with the dress, so I can try on lots of different things and find something that works and makes me look good!
