How do Oasis sizes come up?

I'm about to buy an Oasis jacket that is sized s, m, l etc. I am normally a 12 so what size should I go for?

I would say m, but depends on how fitted the jacket is. Does it nip in at the waist or go straight down? IMO s = 8/10, m = 10/12, l = 12/14.

Oh dear....just found on their website that a M is supposed to be a 12 but maybe I should order a L if they come up small...?

I would say they are quite true to size (with M and S etc being huge obviously.) As such I would go for a medium for a 12.

Xs is 6/8
S 8/10
M 10/12
L 12/14

Love the coat. Can you not pop into oasis and try on? It really does need to be a good fit to accentuate the waist as the coat does nip in nicely.

They're doing 20% off which ends tonight!

As I'm buying from John Lewis and they have free delivery I may get both the M and L and try on at home. Hoping the M will be ok though, I don't like the idea of being a large!
