Where can I get a smart winter coat with a hood?

Looking for something smart for work that is warm and has a hood. Preferably wool. Most smart coats seem to be hood-less but I don't want a duffel coat or a parka. Flexible about colour, though tend to prefer black.....

I'd like a shortish trench coat style with a hood... Can't find one anywhere! Umbrellas are useless when you've got frizzy hair! Watching with interest...

HI, thanks for the suggestions but not really what I am looking for. Was thinking something more tailored (eg button down, fitted to waist and then flared out) to the waist and then flared out. But with hood.

This might not completely meet your criteria but I think it's smart, has a hood and I love it!

Hmm... there is obviously a market out there for nice tailored coats with a hood. After all, we live in a rainy, windy country!

I tried to find one last year and drew a complete blank. Jaeger did have one but it was more like a parka. Tis very annoying. I end up using an umbrella.

I saw a orange one in Debenhams yesterday. have you seen the Uniqlo one in Elle. Think it might be as part of the Jill Sander collaboration. Its black and has a hood (think its an advert)

Ok both by Uniqlo -current Elle magazine page 139 wool and down coat for £179. Short Parker of the same maetial etc is £129.90 and is featured in advert near the Poppy Delevinge article

I just saw this one and thought it was nice but then realised it's a man's coat!

Perhaps a bit plain? shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/069696 Dh has a wool and down jacket from last year and it only has a little down padding. It is more like a wool jacket to look at and only a little warmer than one.
