I have never worn make up! Wouldnt have a clue what to buy or what to do with it - but want to start wearing it - any recommendadtions?

Never worn shoes with a heel, only wear trainers or flat boots - can you learn to wear heels? I always fall over!

What do i do with my hair? Its waist lenght and chestnut colour and very thick but also very frizzy and doesnt react to straighteners well (its wavy at the bottom) How should i have it? (it hasnt been cut for yrs )

What should a 22 year old be wearing? I want to look more my age but havent a clue where to start!

I need an mn makeover!

GRRWHERE DO YOU LIVE

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 12/12/2005 09:40

I know where she lives

TheFish · 12/12/2005 09:40

in the tikabilla house

tamba · 12/12/2005 09:40

Im in Birmingham

My jeans are mostly bootcut thingys i think but they are quite baggy around the bum and they look crap! But i dont wear boots with them just trainers which make me look dumpy.

An embarrassing confession but most of my clothes were bought by my Mil so are older style jumpers and stuff. I think i had a lack of confidence so wore clothes that hide you rather than emphasise your good points and i want to change that cause i think i look ok really and cause ive lost weight i have more good points to show off! (according to people i have a nice bum and good boobs
Have no idea what bra size i am though

oh there is no reason to be crap then
get thyself to rackhams now

franke · 12/12/2005 09:42

Go to John Lewis to get your boobs measured - you can never have too many properly fitting bras imo - they can completely change the way you look.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 12/12/2005 09:43

Can we have some before and after pictures?

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 12/12/2005 09:43

go to M&S and find out if its free for bra measurements as its usually is free and they are good and go to another bra shop and see if its the same measurement.

feastofsteven · 12/12/2005 09:43

tamba - get yourself off and get your bra size measured forthwith at M & S! a well fitting bra boosts your confidence.

Brum is GREAT for shopping
no excuse at all
I would start by finding fab boots with heel
(heeled boots are easier to wear than heeled shoes IMO)
then work up from there

1 boobs measured, fitted and bra bought
2 hairdresser visited, consulted appointment made
3 decent make over visited, products purchased
4 accessories purchased
5 get some mid heeled boots, decent jeans, maybe nice fitted jumper for winter - walk before you can run and all that

tamba · 12/12/2005 09:45

Am taking dhs credit card shopping with me! Its really hard going on your own though as you dont get an independant opinion, the only person i could go with is my Mil cause i dont seem to have many close friends - theres lots of people i talk too but no one i really go shopping and stuff with (its usually a quick trip around matalan and i rarely try stuff on cause i have the kids with me although tomorrow i have a free day and they are at nursery)

Enideepmidwinter · 12/12/2005 09:46

god yes not M and S for bra measuring

John Lewis/big store

good haircut/bra/shoes/make up then you can tackle the rest

Tops bought by YOUR MIL dont you realise they have a vested interested in making you look frumpy?

harpsiheraldangelssing · 12/12/2005 09:46

nothing wrong with Matalan
seriously don't go with MIL though

tamba · 12/12/2005 09:46

I dont have any photos, we havent got a digital camera.

peckarollover · 12/12/2005 09:46

buy what you think but keep receipts then report back on here and we'll send you back with any non starters
